  1. Hi all,

I'm 90% there on understanding Tekkit, finally! I have a question regards to power. I now have a lot of power coming in, its all sitting in a batbox (I realise I can ungrade this), full all of the time. However, its not going fast enough around all of my machines to utilitize it. For example, I have the following set up:

Main power source > Batbox > Macerator > Extractor > Induction Furnace > Rotary Macerator > Quarry. By the time it gets to the quarry, its struggling for power, even though the first batbox i full.

Now I noticed that if I unplug the Induction Furnace, and put a batbox down, there is loads of power again for example.

They are all hooked up using Gold Wires, the power coming in is on Fibre.

Any advice on how I can get the power around the machines better? I had to take out upgrades just to keep them all going :(

  2. The double tank pointing at the oil is pumping fine and the oil is showing in the refinery. The single tank on the oil refinery, has a wooden pipe with a redstone engine and is pumping, but there is no fuel coming into the compartment to be pumped.

*Edit* Also the wooden pipes are all waterproofed

  3. Hi everyone,

2 questions, probably simple, probably me being a dummy.

I have an oil refinery, with 2 big tanks of oil coming in with wooden pumps and redstone engines. Then 2 tanks coming out with a wooden pipe and redstone engine. I have an energy link slapped right next to the refinery, powered. For some reason, I cant get the refinery to work. I had it working before, then my energy link blew up on me (I assume it lost power?) and I cant remember what I did :(

Second question, what benefit does having a conductive pipe between the energy link and the refinery give, if anything?

    Thanks!

  4. Hi all!

I'm having a frustrating issue trying to get power from my windmill to my batbox. I have 4 wind mills going on, with a length of cable around 60 blocks, reaching up above 100 on the Y, so pretty tall. I cant seem to get it to draw any power into the batbox.

Any pointers on what might be going on? Am I loosing too much power in the cables?

    Cheers for the help.

  5. Hi guys, other games work fine no problem at all. Internet does not slow down either. I have task manager open and can see that Minecraft rarely goes about 900MB of ram.

As far as machines, yep, I just started using a few, but not many, which is worrying, as I want to build quarries and all sorts!

I am using MCPatcher, not Optifine, does that matter? I will try the default texture pack and report back in a couple of hours.

Thanks for your comments so far!

  6. Hello all,

I love Tekkit to death, but I'm really struggling with performance issues. I'm using the Sphax PureBDCraft 64x texture pack with the latest version of Tekkit. The issue is that after 30 or so minutes, the performance becomes jerky and unplayable. When I go into the nether, this just amplifies and becomes almost instantly jerky.

    My computer specs:

    Intel i5

    16GB Memory

    GeForce 460GTX

    WIndows 7 64 Bit

    Java 1.7 64 Bit

launcher.properties file in the tekkit folder:

    #

    latestLWJGL: false

    memory: 2048

    retryLogins: true

    worldbackup: false

    recupdate: true

    devupdate: false

    modpack: tekkit

    custombuild: '6'

launcher.properties file in the launcher folder

    #

    latestLWJGL: false

    memory: 2048

    retryLogins: true

    worldbackup: false

    recupdate: true

    devupdate: false

    modpack: tekkit

    custombuild: '6'

I have tried just about every memory setting from 512 to 5GB to no avail.

I have also changed quite a bit of UI information, like render distance, which did help prolong the usability, but the result still inevitable.

Any help would be very kind, as its a very frustrating issue.

    Kind regards

    Tirm
