Update: I tried injecting all the addon files from tekkit into a regular minecraft folder, launched the regular minecraft.exe and who would have guessed it, blue screen. So it must be a particular tekkit addon causing this, maybe?

Also.. I just tried launching modpack.jar following a friend's advice, and got an error saying it was an invalid or corrupt jar file.

Around 80% of the time I try to use it, (if it even manages to connect to minecraft.net), once I type my password in and hit login, the Mojang splash screen comes up, then shortly after my screen freezes and I get a dreaded BSOD. It happens either during that splash or occasionally it will happen when I try to connect to my SMP server. I run the launcher directly from the .jar in my appdata, as the .exe doesn't do anything. I have tried updating and reinstalling java. I have deleted and redownloaded tekkit several times to try and resolve this. I use Avast as my antivirus. I do not get this error at all when launching minecraft.exe, it's only tekkit. I do not get BSOD's running any other applications or games, or when running a torture test in Prime 95. Does anyone have any suggestions on either A) how to fix this, or a workaround, like manual installation of the tekkit mods to minecraft.exe (so I can still connect to our SMP server)?
