If its over the internet, best thing to do is register to NO-IP or a similar service to get your internet ip into a name ie www.myserver.no-ip.org. Well with the tekkit, as with any of these packs, you just load the launcher, if its closing instantly after the loading bar. Maybe you need to reinstall Java? That or check if its installed

OK, I firstly apologize for wasting peoples time. But after looking all over the net and getting no answer, I figure i best ask the experts. Rubber Tree Saplings HOW DO I USE THEM? I planted 2 saplings and gave it roughly a minecraft week to grow and nothing. I haven't found a simple explanation of the best methods to grow them, Is this just me or am i doing it wrong There planted on grass next to water with at least 3 blocks space all ways Thanks to all who help, hope for a fast response as we will be playing again 1 hour from now

i did. The sounds are there before i copied them but still no sound

I dont know why but i'm not able to get any sound I used to be ok, but since the past few technic updates, no sound has came out Strangely enough, after a while, i do get sound, but at random time, so is it just me or is it a bug? Its annoying when i cant hear stuff thats about to kill me :(

OK then if Tekkit will not work with MineOS, What distro of Linux would you suggest? one which can work with a dual core and 4 gig of ram so i can host it on my laptop and play on my desktop. Sorry for the trouble. This is just so me and my fiancé can actually co-op with the tekkit pack and not have my computer lagging due to running Client and Server tekkit. I don't know about you, but when i see a creeper and my fps starts to lag....so much so i have to quit (sometimes i think the program takes too many resources to run) So in short which distro is best for the server and has the less resources running to dedicate to the server

Just a simple question, has anyone managed to get tekkit to work with mineos? and if you have how?
