Okay so ive wanted to play H/M with my friend and i downloaded the MVC and H/M of course and have done all the drag and dropping of files. But the thing is when i double click my 1.2.3 jar file it wont run. Anyone know a fix?

So ive watched pretty much every video out there about how to make a h/m server. ive double checked steps and everything to make sure i did it correctly. But no matter what i do it says outdated server. I can easily play singleplayer but the reason i downloaded h/m was to play with friends. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could help me out with fixing this issue.
