hey dude,your problem is you have java 7. minecraft does not run with java 7 for some reason. and also try java 64. hope to help

I have a problem like this but, i dont get an error log...it just says update failed...i have a 64 bit operating system and windows 7 home premium. please help...i want to play tekkit and all the other mods.i have java 6 and 64 bit java. the only diffrence is mine wont work on any mod:(
