  3. oh, the reason is distance, i thought tp pipes only reach 150m apart? maybe i read it wrong

  5. the usage would be a problem, wonder how dificult it would be to make a power grid/control board. i suppose i'd have to use the red cables/switches, haven't used those yet.
  6. thanks joe, wouldn't mind seeing a pic/diagram of your setup. wendo, basically im bunnyhopping distance. say my nuke stn is 300m away and the degrade distance for eu is 150m, thats too far, so i make a substtion half way between to bounce the signal further... and on top of that distribute it from one place using tp's
  7. Hi all. I have been planning out a map with a village, homestead, quarry, industrial estate, nuke power station and i have planned them approximately 100m apart (using the rei's minimap waypoints for distance). going to use power teleporting. In my mind i have the idea to build a substation to distribute the power. nuke power station/solar array/wind array to substation then from there to the village frequency 10 homestead freq 20 quarry freq 100 ind estate freq 30 ..and any other things/villages i add later on other frequencies. So basicaly the substation will be the distributer. I've built my power plant/solar array and windfarm. i've planned out where my substation will be, around 100m from all the users (village/quarry etc) ive put in the frame of the substn a LV/Med/HV and MFSU, and i have a pile of power transport tubes. so to all you teckkit techies out there, is my idea possible? it would be good to know before i spend more time/resources on it. also over time i was going to add a couple more reacters in the mix. thanks for any advice regards.
  8. same here, now i cant log into the game at all....
  9. thanks both, i used glass cable great fixing the problem, i looked into using telporting tubes and tethers and they are cool you can even get electric energy telepipes.. il use them soon im sure. thanks again, speedy and perfect advise .
  10. Hello all. Simple couple of questions. At the moment i have 3 very large quarries dug surrounding my factory/nuclear power stn. For the three quarries i direct connected the NpowerStn to an Energy Link sitting next to the quarry machine. it works perfectly, except now i want to do it further away from the power station but for some reason the quarry wont turn on now. im using 4xins HVcable between the NpowerStn and the Energy Link. (the MFSU in the Factory is half half full (due to me moving it a few squares half hour ago but it was allways full) Is Npower distance dependant? If so, how can i overcome distance to power my quarry etc? Second question. I found an Oil Deposit (closest one) in what seems like miles away, I have the pump set up in a cheap way, Pump and 4x redstone engines each side. I set it up and it started pumping along the pipes to my factory and filled my two tanks half way then it stopped, i places a torch on the wall next to the tanks to mark how full it was. however as it stopped filling i figured the oil deposit had been exhausted. about a week later (game time) i decided to go and have a look at the depleted well only to find Oil being pumped through the pipes. i dug up all my tunnels checking along the pipes for breaks and there were no breaks. Does a depleted oil deposit come back over time? is the 4x redstone engines good enough to pump that distance? Any ideas why a week went by with no oil going to my tanks? Thanks in advance for any help/advice you give.
