  1. Don't we go over this very same topic every couple of weeks...

As has been said many times before, you can hook up an ME interface with two chassis pipes. One to handle the AE>LP modules, and the other for the LP>AE modules.

If people still can't understand how it's done just search for the previous threads on this topic, there are links to youtube videos handholding you through the setup process...

[edit] : For those that don't know how to search.

  2. The problem with the big jungle trees is that the harvester often can't reach the top of them, so you're left with a floating tree platform. I'll stick with what I have. Like I said speed isn't an important factor and I'd rather have a uniform look for my farms.

And how freaking hard is it to go into the config and change the default harvester search distance?

And even on servers with default settings, a series of harvesters can be used to get a lot of materials from a redwood tree farm.

  3. You can use the interface as a bridge between the ME drives and a logistics pipe network hooked up to the pulverizers/furnaces. The logistics pipes will pull raw materials from the ME drive whenever the processing machines have space for it.

That way you can set the pulverizer as the default route for ores, furnaces for dusts, and the ME drives as the default route for ingots. As raw mats enter the system from the quarries they get routed and processed as soon as possible.

This system also allows me to use my remote orderer and ender pouch to access anything in my home network from anywhere in the game world.

  4. By adding Thaumcraft to tekkit you can have large golem powered energy farms. Golems treat MFR's bio-reactor as a valid inventory, so you can have large fields of potatoes/carrots with the harvested product going straight into the reactors for large amounts of biofuel. Or with an additional step you can have pumpkins/melons/cactus/wheat broken down, then fed into the reactor by golems.

My bio-reactors produce enough fuel to power multiple bio-generators.

  5. If I hadn't of turned off the pumps they would have kept swapping air blocks for lava blocks within the loaded chunks. The lava level within the quarry is ~3 or 4 levels higher than the grates the pumps are attached to, so the pumps don't just fill up to grate level.

  6. Morvelaira's voice is extremely prettyful. Also, if you have heard KingLemming talk, he sounds like Nicholas Cage..

Have you seen Florastar's PAX video that she recently posted on her youtube channel? It's short, but shows her, Direwolf, Slowpoke, Slowpoke's girlfriend, Morvelaira, Morvelaira's husband, Tahg, LexManos, KingLemming, and other FTBers at their pub get together.

what do you think i am going to use that quarry hole for?

Quarries full of lava are fun. Just don't get them to close to wooden buildings.

Also make sure they don't leak into nearby ravines/mineshafts. My quarry dug into a dungeon, but the corner of the dungeon ended up intersecting a mineshaft complex that also connected to a ravine...

And the northern corner of the ravine opened up in a swamp.

In my next world I may connect several quarries around my base and fill them with lava to make a super sized lava moat. Or use PfF's pumpkin/melon/carrot/potato juices to make a massive veggie juice lake.

  7. If I were Will I wouldn't touch this one with a ten-foot pole. Even if he is/was involved, I doubt EA would let him comment on any of this.

During the first days of release he posted that all online games have opening day problems, and that this game would be worth the wait.

I don't think he's said much since... :stare:

  8. SimCity players report new bugs with patch 2.0

Players of Maxis' SimCity are reporting that patch 2.0, which released yesterday, is introducing new bugs to the game and, in some cases, causing the game to crash.

Patch 2.0 is the first major update to SimCity since the game's launch, and it aims to address issues such as the inexplicable fluctuation of tourists, delays in receiving invitations and the playing of phantom audio. Since the patch's release yesterday, players have taken to EA's forums and Reddit to point out new bugs that may be caused by the patch.

Among the problems reported include sewage overloads, cities reverting to old saves, cities being overrun with taxis, pollution being magnified, production slowness in Cheetah Mode, road textures disappearing and phantom noises coming from objects, such as trees making siren noises. An extensive list collated by Reddit user Imidazole0 can be read here.

Similar problems are being reported on EA's official forums, with some players noting that, since the patch was installed, firetrucks aren't putting out fires, buildings burn but never turn into rubble and workers are able to enter buildings that have turned to rubble.

We have contacted EA for comment and will update this story as more information is available.

Screaming trees are always fun. :drugnerd:

  9. Anyone have more info on the gregtech/xycraft blowup?

Tonight on Morvelaira's stream there was talk about gregtech briefly fucking with Xycraft recipes, until some modders got involved and told the OCD little fuck he didn't have to 'rebalance' every mod Gregtech is bundled with...

  10. I like this guys pumpkin pie farm. He has sugarcane pumpkins and chickens growing together, with golems harvesting and gathering the products. Then he has two fabricators making pies from what the golems gather.

  11. That's a cool texture pack :D, which mod is the compass on the top and the armour percentage on the top left corner from?

PS: The blue alloy wire looks somewhat unnecessary, blulectric blocks conduct blulectric charge. :)

The compass hud and Armor Status hud mods are both from here. I'm currently using the Soartex TP, but normally use Sphax(when it's mostly up to date)

  12. I like how you can stick tanks together to make super capacity multitank structures...

    20130416163857.png

I'm currently using this multitank of nether lava to try to fill in this max sized quarry hole...

    20130416163315.png

I started the RP pump before going to bed and now the lava is up to y level 10~11. (I had to start a second nether pumping station to keep the tanks from draining to fast)

It should be fun to watch the lava start filling in the neighboring dungeon.

  13. And if you don't want a square hole that just keeps getting deeper, you can use something like this ( http://pastebin.com/PAPDddcb ) . The program asks you for the dimensions of the hole you want it to dig before it starts. So you could have it dig a 4x4x25 tunnel if you wanted to.

As for filtering out unwanted blocks, I use a filter/incinerator combo on the turtles drop chest...

    20130416151525.png

In the picture I had a chunk loaded turtle excavate a stone block castle ruin by using a 'excavate 25' command. On the right of the drop chest is a filter pulling out dirt/cobble/gravel/sand/clay and sending them to an incinerator to be destroyed. If you want to use the buildcraft method you could use an emerald pipe to pull those blocks out and send them into a void pipe. On the left of the drop chest I had a filter pulling out stone brick, mossy brick, chiseled stone brick, and later marble. (I got about two and a half crystal chests worth of stone brick, mossy brick, and chiseled stone bricks from that one ruin)

Later on when I have a proper sorting system at my base I can just ender chest or telepipe the turtle's diggings to be sorted at the base.

  14. they count as a fake player

he could also have an automatic enchanter (like the one direwolf has come to think of it)

I liked Cyanide's latest exp tower. He had 3 or 4 t5 soul shards dropping mobs into a room of melee turtles, with a single exp turtle auto-enchanting books every 30 levels. The exp turtle was setup to deposit enchanted books into a chest below it.

I use the Dungeonpack mod, so wither/blaze/creeper/magma cube spawners aren't too rare in my world... :science:
