Launcher Version: 1.0.1.3 (Tekkit) Operating System: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Java Version: Java 1.7.0_05. Installed Java SE 64-bit for Linux Antivirus Program: None Description of Problem: I have scoured forums far and wide trying to expand on my lack of Linux knowledge. Usually a Windows user, I can Google just about whatever I need to solve the problems I have. However, my laptop is out to service and my friend is letting me use his Acer with Ubuntu (I did a fresh install of 12.04). I installed Java 64-bit (followed the link from the home page to Oracle's site, found the 64-bit one for Linux, installed it). I am finally able to run minecraft.jar, although it is pretty laggy, but when running the Technic Launcher (Tekkit), and after logging in, the screen is white (common problem?) then flashes black, and back to white. It will stay white for the foreseeable future. Any information you need just let me know. Thank you ahead of time. Error Messages: None.
