  1. Is it possible to run the map from my personal computer and have it read the world files from the hosted server?
  2. I have a question. Is there a way to make Dynmap use less space on a servers Hard Drive? I had a server running with Dynmap, (We had the Hires renderer, i'm sure a lower one would use less space) After about 2 weeks, my servers HD was full and it caused a chunk error resulting in a total world restart. I'm not sure what i may have done wrong in the configs, but my users would like to have Dynmap back, but my hosted server only has 7gb of space. Can dynmap be setup to delete old files or something? Our world wasn't even that big, (5 users max) but when i cleaned up the server, i think Dynmap had over 35,000 files in it. (A PITA to delete over an FTP). Also as a secondary question, Has Dynmap been tested with the Mystcraft Bukkit port? Will Mystcraft break the map? We have it installed.
  3. Just wondering if it could have been the problem. Me or any of my users have yet to find any grass aside from the stuff we grow with bone meal. We have Forestry installed.
  4. I'm also having this problem, Question, did you install the latest forestry? 1.4.8.6?
  5. So I'm upgrading to 2gb of ram. I'm hoping it will fix the problems. Here is an example of the chunk issue. I was just digging around the house and noticed the dirt wasn't visually breaking, so i kept going and fell into one of the holes i made, this is what i saw. Every time a chunk doesn't update properly and you dig in it, you can see.. that. After a short while, or a relog, it updates properly. I've been hunting for whatever could be causing this, but no single block seems to be causing it, its just random.
  6. I'll be sure to do that. Though i was under the impression that the Beastnode servers didn't launch from the launch.bat. i could be mistaken though.
  7. My personal computer has 8gb of ram, i keep Tekkit allocated with 2gb via the launcher. The Server package i'm running on is 768mb dedicated. Would upgrading to 1gb help? The major issue on the server is the chunk lag. Some chunks don't update unless you relog or they update very slowly. Some of the lag was reduced when i removed the 80 watermill that was being used and replaced them with solar arrays (same eu/t, not 80 solars). But the chunk lag is still there. I forgot to mention i'm also running Dynmap with the hires renderer if that makes a difference. The only reason i'm not hosting the server myself, is because my internet connection isn't strong enough to handle it.
  8. (I've spent the last 30 minutes searching for answers, no i'm not good at searching) I'm a new server admin, I have a hosted server with 768mb of ram and i'm curious if thats enough for the 5 people currently playing. We are running Tekkit 3.04 with EE disabled and Forestry added. I have several plugins installed(Lapis portals, Essentials, PEX and a timber plugin)I also have NoLagg. I often get the "Server can't keep up" message even though Nolagg tells me i normally have over 200mb of ram left unused. Would upgrading to the 1gb package help? I'm hosted through BeastNode. On occasion i will get chunks that update very slowly, sometimes taking more than 10-30 seconds to show any change (placed/moved blocks). These chunks will appear in my house, i've had other members say they get similar issues, a chunk will not update while they are mining and they can see into the ground. All the cave systems are visible and the like. We have no mega construction, no super advanced railcraft lines (Current world is less than a week old). I just started a small RP sorting system tonight. Currently there are only 2 Quarrys on the server, one is unused. We do have 11 or 12 World Anchors placed around, could they be causing the problems? In the end, I'm just looking for some assistance stabilizing my server. (Sorry if this is the wrong section, please move if it is.)
