  1. Hey all, I've been trying to find a plugin that blocks Teleport Tethers! I've been searching and trying a bunch of different things, but players still seem to be able to place/craft/use them! I've tried blocking them in NoItem, and Tekkit Customizer, but neither work. I've got PEX, which is what I use in conjunction with NoItem. If any of you have had any luck blocking said items, and would be happy to share the answer with me, I would be super, super grateful!
  2. Or, of course, if anyone knows of any other stuff that might be causing this much horrendous lag, like overflowing pipes etc, let me know. EDIT:It's also been mentioned that bandwidth could be limited due to Hurricane Sandy. We won't be doing any resets until we can assess whether this is the problem - a few days after restoration efforts and power have settled down.
  3. Hey everybody! So, obviously I've been away for a bit. This is because I was living in NY, and the power has been out due to Hurricane Sandy, which was pretty intense. I'm back online though, and things are LAGGY. I believe that this is because people have been placing down teleport tethers and dimensional anchors. I've blocked these now, even though players SHOULD have respected the rules against placing world-loading blocks. I'm putting out a call to let me know of any of these blocks, yours or someone else's. No consequences, no judging, nothing. If I cannot find them all, then We'll have to reset the map, with the items properly blocked from the get go, not just World Anchors. Hoping to hear back from whoever, so we can get this thing back up to speed, as soon as is possible.
  4. Thanks guys! I will definitely try those two solutions. Before I do though, I need to be able to ban the teleport tethers from use. I've managed to use NoItem to ban world anchors, but Teleport Tethers don't seem to be banned. I've tried using the block id 170, 170.0 and x170. But they can still be crafted/used/placed etc. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
  5. Evening all, I've blocked world anchors on my SMP server, but forgot about Dimensional anchors, Teleport Tethers, and anchor carts. I have now banned them, but am worried (actually pretty sure) that there are already some out there in the wild. Anyone got any advice or ideas on the easiest way to remove them, without knowing their location yet? Some sort of XRay? A plugin that can remove them after the fact? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  6. Shoinkas Added. Other people, thank you for the applications. We are going slow, and steady. It's what keeps our server happening, unlike some of the other servers on the forum right now... More room will DEFINITELY be opening up next week, as old players are removed. We'll be in touch.
  7. Hey guys! At the moment our server is pretty full, so I have changed the Recruitment status on the main post to Semi-Open. To define that now, for those of you that have applied, we will no longer be taking the first people to apply. We will be looking to take the players with the best applications, in combination with a decent playtime estimate/commitment. As new spots open, we will looks through old applications and new ones, so feel free to update your applications to make them more... awesome. The server is getting an upgrade soon, and more slots will open up after this. Stay tuned. We really wish we could fit you all!

  9. 1Gb is plenty for a 10 slot server, pushing beyond that might result in some lag. 4GB is extortionate. Hardly any 20 slot servers are running on 4GB dedicated, that is a ridiculous recommendation.

  11. This is usually caused by Mojang fiddling around with their authentication servers. Try login to their website, to make sure your password is working etc (although this should be fine if you are able to get into MC through the technic launcher). Otherwise, I'm afraid you'll just have to wait it out Youriyo :-( EDIT: I am getting this error too. Players who are currently in game are fine, but players attempting to join will need to wait for Mojang to finish whatever they are working on.

The best part about this server is the community, so we like to add people to the community slowly. Sorry if you guys are hanging out and waiting, I promise I'll come get some of you within the next day or so.
  13. Down for maintenance. Shouldn't be more than 30 minutes. EDIT: Back up in no time! I was getting reports that players were experiencing some lag, that should no longer be the case. We were trialling a new plugin, but it seems it was not coded well enough, and leaking issues throughout. Current server status is as snappy as ever!
  14. Holy crap, what an amazing bunch of applications. I'm out at the moment, but some of these are AMAZING. I will be whitelisting as many of you as I can fit when I get back home late, late this evening. Hang tight!
  15. Have established a library that contains one of every condensable item to copy, and are currently working on the main teleportation hub outside spawn. Hoping to get photos and details up soon!
  16. Thanks for the vouch of confidence Swiftspear! We've also fixed up the mob spawning problem. Should be all better.
  17. First pictures of the outside of spawn are UP in the main post! This is where you can expect to arrive on the server, and also where our main community hub will be taking place.
