You see there is the problem... "if you'd done a little bit of reading..." all I wanted to do was play. That's it, I left minecraft to do what it said 'needed' to be done. It should have been made clearer, what the consequences were. But it's done now... No amount of Could've, Would've, Should've is going to fix it.

Well, you're lucky that your world even loaded. I got about 1 second of sound and movement... even after reinstalling. I knew as soon as I looked at my hot-bar and none of my emerald tools were there that it was ruined. I think the most "betraying" feeling about it, is I spent 30+ hours on that world and was thoroughly enjoying myself. I REALLY hope it doesn't happen again, otherwise I'll just stop playing. I was so disappointed to see my stuff gone.

The exact same thing is happening to me too, I load up an old file and it crashes. After "Converting" the world, like it forced me to, it's broken. If I create a new world, it's fine. What is really frustrating about the whole thing, is that I got a look at my inventory for a split second and ALL of my technic pack items are gone. Crashes like this are the original reason why I stopped playing minecraft. I have sunk well-over 30+ hours into that world and it's broken... Add on top of that, the fact I was making a playthrough for youtube and now 9 episodes in the world is broken... or I have to start again. Please, if someone can help out, It would be appreciated!
