  1. I've added a link to my latest video, Part 5, in the main thread now it's released.

    It was a bit late, and so will later episodes because I've recently bought a Hauppauge HD PVR, and also been doing game play for World Of Tanks, and now the new Need For Speed Most Wanted, all of which are on my Youtube channel HERE.

    I'll still be doing Tekkit videos, just less frequently, about 2-3 a week now.

    And if people want to see more of my YogBox series, I would appreciate it if you liked them, commented and subscribed, as I see no point carrying on if no one watches them.

    Finite Gaming and I (Well, just me) bring you a new Tekkit "Let's Play" series!

    We are on a server together, private so no interfering except with each other, as will be apparent later on.

    We are all focusing on slightly different targets, with different paths thanks to the selection of mods in Tekkit (THANX TECHNIC GUISE!)

    Follow each episode with funny moment, for us and you, or just you as we fall into lava. Be fixated on your monitor as the anticipation rises with a new contraption, machine, mob or person is about to cause SSssome major drama. Learn how to play Tekkit really well in a suitable way to succeed in all you hopes and dreams, whether that be to sell cake, or gold, or weapons of mass destruction.

    All of this recorded by me, to be edited by me, uploaded by me, subliminal messaging by me, while the credit is taken by all of us!

I didn't realize how many blocks would be explode-able,so thanks, but what I suggest is to leave out Redpower, BuildCraft and IC from the player exceptions because someone may build a filler/quarry around someones house and bypass it, all the player in the claim would need to do is go /trust [buildcraft] for example, to stop this.

    So you could have a GP around your house as one plot, then another around your quarry and combustion engine setup, and trust each individual claim.

  4. ah, GP allows the source block of the explosion to blow, just not surrounding blocks. In the config you can turn surface explosions on/off. But this might affect creepers making holes as well so be careful, plus I think it's just in the wilderness, but may be claims as well. I'll look into this as well, as I am just finishing off configuring most of my plugins and perms before doing a intensive test on everything, no doubt I'll miss something ;)

  5. Hi, I'm trying to set up a server, and have got almost all plugins etc I need, banned what I deemed OP/dangerous and even gave myself a cool chat prefix, but I am stuck on a shop plugin.

    Basically I need a shop plugin like Showcase/Standalone, that works with Tekkit, or at least Tekkit items. I've tried both Showcase and Showcase standalone, SC just refuses to actually work entirely, and SCS doesn't work with Tekkit items, and the unlimited shop doesn't work even with Tekkit at all.

    I can compromise on the floating items like showcase, but what plugins are there easy to set up that just use signs and work with Tekkit items?

    I only need a unlimited shop type function for a server shop, no players will be using the plugin other than to buy.

    If you haven't fixed your explosions yet, have you checked a conflicting plugin? Such as WorldGuard? I've witnessed a combustion engine on a GP server blow and it's very annoying, the admin wasn't happy that I asked him a second time to fix mine ;)

Also, not entirely sure if it would work, but if you went into the EE config and removed the Item ID for the specific item, I'd suspect when the chunk that contained it loaded, it would remove the block/entity because the server wouldn't recognize the ID, similar to what happened when you removed EE all together. Again, this is just speculation. I haven't tested it myself.

    That would work I believe, when I updated my server to 3.1.2 which removed crafting table MKII/III the console popped a little message 'Ignoring tile entity ###' And it was gone.

  8. Although I have no experience, I have been reading around to see how easy it would be, what I would need to run a server. One thing I have found is that loads of servers ban items using a plugin or manual config, I don't know how to do this, or if it will remove the item placed once banned, but it might. If someone knows it would be a help as this is something I would like to avoid as well.

  9. Although the biggest server I've run is on my own desktop for me and a friend, in the times when we are out, break etc it is nice to let the quarries continue, collecting energy.

    Basically you can build RailCraft World Anchors, but they limit it to 3x3 chunk area round it. If you are running the latest build, 3.1.2 then you have Dimensional Anchors and you can set their chunk load area in the chunk it's in 1x1, 3x3, 5x5 and 7x7. I find these better as the configuring option is good. Also they are cheaper than RailCraft anchors to make unless you spawn them in.

  10. Hello, for the past few days I've been playing, recording and uploading me showing how to start and advance on Tekkit. I've got two videos so far, and will upload another either later tonight or tomorrow.

    Basically I'm giving a rough guide on how to start up at the moment with-out cheating etc

    Although there is Tekkit with Duncan, all he did was show us IC2 and some of EE2, and now has started on Redpower, some other key mods haven't had much of a mention.

    I plan to use my experience with IC2, BC, EE2 and RailCraft to help people use these mods. I will also be learning other mods I haven't spent as much time on to show others and give them help.

    I am posting here to get some feedback on my detail, presentation, ease of understanding etc as to improve the quality of my videos.

  11. Title: Weapon Mod Dummy Glitched

    Version: 3.1.1

    OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit Server/Premium 32 bit client

    Java Version: V7 Update 4 for server/V7 Update 3 for Client

    Description of Problem:

    Please note using 3.1.2 but no option for it

    When placing the Weapon Mod dummy, it drops the the block below it, but after a minute or so it will appear on placed block. It won't move when hit on SMP, but single player works normal.

    If this is a tekkit build problem them that's OK and now you know

    If it's just my server/client machine then help would be nice :)
