By some chance it finally installed correctly thank you Torezu.

By some chance earlier i restarted my laptop after i re-installed jre and got it open but the program was blank, won't show any image's and said the tumblr feed was down and that it failed to update.

I am really sure I had uninstalled the 32 bit java, but in the proccess i uninstalled all of java then reinstalled jre and jdk 64 bit, am I missing any java programs?

could having both 64 bit and 32 bit java installed make any difference

I have tried disabling both kaspersky and my firewall and still got nothing, btw could having already updating minecraft to 1.3 could that cause problems?

I have tried that and it still freezes
