Doesn't seem to include the LegacyJavaFix and if so I'd guess it's running Java 8 that's the problem. But heck. I don't know

Prob haven't set up the launcher to use more memory...

Ooops... This was a clone.

You have to install 64bit version for Java. The 32bit version doesn't support more than 1 gig. Since most browsers still are 32bit it is 32bit version that are automatically suggested for you when you visit java.com so you have to browse their page for the 64bit version.
Or just go here: http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp and choose the the 64bit version -
Will the newest java version work with this? My launcher currently will not lauch mods ever since i have upgraded java.
Just download java 7 and install instead of java 8.
About Technic beta
There is some things on the beta site that I can't seem to figure out.
- One of my packs is noticed to be linkable with solder but linking it still gives the message that I need to configure the modpacks download or link it to solder. It is linked to solder in the setup of the modpack but not when browsing it.
- Since the modpack above doesn't seem to work I thought I'd just remove it from my mods list. That's when the second problem occured.. How do I remove my modpack?? Can't find it removable anywhere.

Hello there,
I want to delete my modpack to reset the version number.
My old modpack got imported into beta.technicpack.net. Now I want to recreate it with new mods and same name, but not as the current version as its listened (2.0). Because it seems I can't "downgrade" versions (to 0.1), I want to delete it from the servers completely to clear the name and slug. But I can't find the remove button (on Technic Platform V1 it was pretty easy). Isn't it not implemented yet or is it well hidden?
Would like to know this to. Can't find how to delete my modpacks from beta.technic.net.

Have you read this @skuli ?
Mutant Creatures still isn't updated past 1.7.2 so that seem kinda hard to add...

Modpacks require a unique "slug" which is what you see at the end of the URL. While this is derived from the name of the pack (by default) you can subsequently change the pack name and the slug will stay the same.
Uhm. Yes, I know.
Let me refrase it: Why do we have to paste the hole address when we add mods instead of just the "slug" since the address before the "slug" always is the same anyway so what's stopping the launcher from just adding that part by itself?
-
So when will there be a launcher that only needs the name of the pack to be able to install it instead of the full technic adress?
Or am I totally wrong assuming that all packs start with "http://www.technicpack.net/api/modpack/" and then ending it with their own special name? If so it just seems strange that the launcher doesn't just ask for the mods special page-name and then just fill in the rest of the address itself.
Just a thought that I probably placed in the wrong thread.. -
There is a much easier way to do this, simply put the liteloader jar into the version folder in the mods folder. E.G. the pathway to the jarfile would be ~/modpack/mods/1.7.2/liteloader-1.7.2.jar.
Is this for 1.7.x? In 1.6.4 I just put it straight in the mods folder and that seem to work just fine.

You are supposed to put the folders that inside .minecraft/assets/virtual/ into .technic/assets/.
Not the virtual folder itself.
-
yeah the only problem I have with this is .minecraft\assest\virtual folder dose not exists for me. Help?
can someone at least provide where the sound is located in the newest version of minecraft so I can then copy and paste the vanilla sounds into technic >.<
Have you started the vanilla launcher, done a 1.6.4 profile and run it once? You need to do that first so that the files are downloaded.

Just do a md5 rehash on the mod and version in the mods part of solder webui. .
-
And you've created a folder with the same name as the slug for the modpack you're trying to create and placed the resources folder inside there?

I've set up solder correct (I believe, since it works). When I first set it up I was busy with getting all the mods together and actually making it work so I just put up a white pic for both logo and background.
The problem is that now when I want to make it actually look good in the launcher I made a new logo-pic in the correct format, correct size and correct name but it doesn't update it. Still have the same white pic in the launcher (well, actually it's a white pic with LOGO printed in black).
How do I make the launcher update the logo? I've uninstalled and reinstalled the launcher but it doesn't help, still the white logo that doesn't even exist anymore in the folder map.

Juppz, happened to me to. Seems like Additional Pipes have a tendency to crash the world. Removed it and all works fine. Now all needed is to remove the invisible "boxes" left on the map where the pipes used to be.

Lol. And my solution was to set it up on a local home computer. (Well since composer...)
