  1. Any chance we'll get another update with the new version of this mod in the meantime of waiting for 1.3? The latest tekkit is four versions behind for the 1.2.5 minecraft. (current immibis core is 49.2.2). I've been getting messages for matmos but that's probably in the long wait for the 1.3 port I imagine. I suppose our server could patch it manually but I'd prefer an official build, heh. I'd kind of like to be able to rotate retrievulators and summon arbitrary numbers of non-stackable items. There's a exploit fix or two in it as well from what I read.
  2. in related news the sort button completely ignores the setting to turn shortcuts off or the changing of the sort inventory button. That it still wants to work even when typing things into the search text box for NEI kind of worries me that it's written horribly...
  3. well what I can think of at the moment: 1)if he plugs directly into the router and you still can't connect then it's a server issue 2)make sure the server is allowed through windows firewall. I've had the damned zombie still interfering even if the service is turned off. 3)make sure he's set to a static internal IP, the forwarding won't work if his local ip changes.
  4. but if the server thinks the map why tekkit launcher cigar? [translation: I'm not sure how to read this so it makes sense in order to know what the problem is.]
  5. I'd imagine the 'temporary' files were deleted when it normally empties that folder. Since they're temporary they weren't sent to the recycle bin, they're directly deleted. There'd likely be too many overwritten sectors in the world file for it to be resurrected with tools so it's gone, sorry.

    Tekkit crash

some more information would be nice, were you trying to put something inside a forcefield?
  7. With minecraft vinilla it was a problem with the chunks being rotated improperly during world generation. Maybe the algorithm from the old code is still being used? There was a full math rundown in a thread on the minecraft forums that notch fixed it with, hell if I remember where it was. Try digging in corners of each facing chunk to that level and see if there's a rogue oil pocket down there!

    Bad Chunk Issue

pity tekkit/technic doesn't support /regen from bukkit, it'd make obliterating a problem chunk much easier! destroy everything in the chunk and see when the problem goes away?
  9. you can still access the flash hardware through tftp2. It's not bricked yet. make sure you pulled the right firmware for your router tho! More information is here, but I don't like their presentation much. This is a GUI for the program, it's easier to use: Draytek's router tools you need the password, the ip, and the password (reset router for defaults, it's in the instructions above)
  10. That particular router looks like it has some problems dropping connection with some of the older firmware. See what version your firmware is and patch it if necessary.

    Bad Chunk Issue

With the quarries make sure they don't run if nobody's near them. if a ton of items try to travel through a pipe that's in an unloaded chunk they'll instead just pop out of the tube and dump on the ground. If you open the map in MCedit I bet there's a massive pile of cobble on the floor someplace. If there is you should be able to delete the items and it'll go back to normal.
  12. with the volcanos getting cut off like that too I imagine it has something to do with the world generator. turn on the chunk grid in the minimap, I bet that flat wall is the edge of a chunk.
  13. Found out after digging a while back that you can't be flying when accessing the pipe. having the wind ring's power that pushes away mob also counts as flying. turn the ring off and it'll stop crashing.
