  1. I updated at the bottom of the first post but basically it was because I was using the wrong mod version, I'd put the server version in the client directory. I just mixed them up. However I think the mod was the crafting bench 3, which no longer works with any versions I've played lately. Not sure if that helps.
  2. I appear to have it solved, at least working anyway, but thanks for your advice. :)
  3. Title: [sOLVED] Minecraft crashed due to an unexpected error! Version: 3.1.2 OS: Intel core i7 3.2Ghz, 24GB ram, 2TB HDD, 2GB Geforce GTX 560 Ti, Windows Vista 64bit, x64 Java. Java Version: 64 bit. Description of Problem: My launcher starts and I can choose to login but then it stops and produces a window stating that Minecraft has crashed due to unexpected error. I can't decipher the report and reinstalling my launcher and server didn't help. Error Messages: Error Log: --- BEGIN ERROR REPORT 819f2152 -------- Generated 13/09/12 09:39 Minecraft: Minecraft 1.2.5 OS: Windows Vista (amd64) version 6.0 Java: 1.7.0_03, Oracle Corporation VM: Java HotSpot 64-Bit Server VM (mixed mode), Oracle Corporation LWJGL: 2.4.2 OpenGL: GeForce GTX 560 Ti/PCI/SSE2 version 4.1.0, NVIDIA Corporation java.lang.NullPointerException at cpw.mods.fml.common.modloader.ModLoaderModContainer.init(ModLoaderModContainer.java:356) at cpw.mods.fml.common.Loader.modInit(Loader.java:273) at cpw.mods.fml.common.Loader.initializeMods(Loader.java:628) at cpw.mods.fml.client.FMLClientHandler.onLoadComplete(FMLClientHandler.java:223) at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.a(Minecraft.java:429) at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.run(Minecraft.java:738) at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) --- END ERROR REPORT a59ea3a6 ---------- UPDATE: I saw someone mention about checking installed mods on another forum page, so I looked at the only one I had installed. It turns out I was using the server version instead of the client version, Duh! (I have a private server, I just put it in the wrong directory). Now the game works the mod doesn't but I can live with that.
