Thanks for the replies, good to know. I'm starting to use Tekkit with a friend. This is probably going to stop his CPU melting when he hosts I'm sure I can get to grips with RP. Is it compatible with IC2 machines etc.?

Hi I'm new to Technic/Tekkit and also the forums, so apologies in advance for any faux pas I may commit. I've seen a lot of people saying not to use Buildcraft or that Buildcraft is a pile of rubbish and you should use RedPower instead and, being new, I can't really figure out why. Could anyone explain why ? Thanks
