xD yeah, people have their own takes on tekkit, I just leave it how it is for my server. :P

Same here, it's not horribly laggy, just can't handle many players. BUT I just fixed the server I was reading through some other threads and somebody said something about the mods creating fake players and it messing things up, just like at the end of my code it said: [RedPower] FakePlayer created. The person in the other thread said to op the mod (ex. I put "[RedPower]" into the op list) and it worked :D

Ah, I don't think it's nether ores cause it was just working before and there's no error in the cmd prompt for the nether ores mod. I just don't see how the server can start up fine, yet not allow people to connect to it O_O And yeah, I am using 1.2.5, probably a lot different (then again, what would I know? xP)

I wasn't exactly sure where to post this, so excuse me if this is in the wrong place. My tekkit server seems to be starting up fine, yet when I attempt to connect to it, the connection is refused. I'll also add that this is completely random and that the server was working merely minutes before (the other day, when the problem first arose). Because I don't see a server problem, so it could be my firewall refusing the connection for some reason.
