I remember the first month I played minecraft way back in beta 1.2_01
I liked the sounds more than I do the new ones (not just mobs/ambience, but all sounds). The new ones sound more realistic, but the old ones were awesome and classic, especially the doors. Back then I was scared by hostile mobs, but now I only jump when im going about my business and someone from an enemy faction in full prot IV ninja attacks me.
About the mob noises... the easiest would be getting a mod or editing/replacing the sound files with blank ones (they must be the same exact length), or playing other music in the background, like suggested above
You could also make a mob farm and get used to the sounds, or join a hardcore factions server (mobs will be nothing anymore once you get used to pvp)

i want 2 maek server so m freinds can play with me on srver, but wont work they cant connct dey get messg that says cannot connect and just wont work i try everything!

You can get tekkit lite if you want, but it doesn't have bukkit and pex doesn't work on bukkitforge ;)

If i'm not mistaken forestry will close the game if it detects that it is installed into .techniclauncher (which it is in your case)
The only thing you can really do is decompile forestry and take out the code that does that, or find someone who already has.

So. In 3 days. You coded over 100 mobs, blocks, and dimensions, 200 new weapons/armor, 250 new bosses, and 1000 new npcs and new structures?
No offense but you are 12 and you couldn't add all that stuff in 10 years, let alone 3 days. I doubt mojang could do that in a year honestly.

My server host tells me the multicraft resource counters are very buggy. I confirmed this by doing /lag ingame which told me I was only using ~30% ram when multicraft said I was using 100%
So I just ignore it :P

Are you sure Jake? I know ive had battles between them and skeletons before in creative and both sides had casualties.

On the non-troll side of things, it looks nice! Some interesting mods there :)

And fixing it by reloading the world makes it not a bug, when you have to do it every time?
This is the reason I don't play Tekkit Lite or FeedTheBeast, as both of these mods have this problem.

Place the repeaters/covers from the bottom up. You have to have the repeaters already there before placing the covers on the next layer up

Remove the PEX chatmanager and use essentialschat instead. When I used the pex one, it wouldn't show my faction prefixes or my multiverse prefixes, which is why I changed.
It is super easy to swap also, because you don't have to reconfigure anything, It works perfectly with PEX. So it should fix the bug if you set ops prefix to 'none' in the essentials config.

You receive compilation errors and your computer crashes. You are unable to turn it on again, and end up having to play imitations of minecraft on your TI-84 graphing calculator.

I can't help you then, I have never setup multicraft, only a tekkit server in multicraft.
I guess.. make sure you setup multicraft right?

Like mjclone said, read before posting..
The server is hosted by a company, you don't just walk in and replace its RAM, or setup a whole new server.
The more $$ you pay the more power you get.

If you have multicraft setup like my host, just put the tekkit server files in root, and rename tekkit.jar to minecraft_server.jar.
Then go back to the server "overview" page and set it to default (not bukkit)
Leave the custom jar field blank, hit save, and it should work.
Same process with FTB and most other modified servers :)

I have searched google and found nothing for this. There are, indeed, a ton of plugins that prevent players from crafting an item or placing in on the ground, but so far, none that prevent a player from holding an item.
Two of the three Jelato suggested do exactly that...
I recommend tekkitcustomizer, it is a lot better imo.

I used to use fraps (it was fine for me), until someone suggested DXTory. It is superior in several ways and im never going back
If it is still choppy using that, you will need to upgrade your computer or you won't really be able to start a LP
