  1. i got a couple of weird files in my temp folder, the minecraft.jar file was only 2mb and i got another file called patched_minecraft.jar. Yeah booo Mojang!!! i had a afternoon of tekkit planned!!! :)
  2. mine just started working again can somebody confirm that its working? i was messing about so i want to make sure its not just me
  3. Torezu, can you please explain. I was under the impression that an MD5 hash never changes as it is used to authenticate, if it changed how could you write a program which authenticates against a random number generator?
  4. post the log file so from the C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\.techniclauncher folder <windows 7 not sure where the folder is for xp prob same just under documents and settings
  5. The below is the issue awaiting a fix for the md5 hash 10:21:30] [sEVERE] Starting download of minecraft, with 3 trie(s) remaining [10:21:33] [sEVERE] Downloaded 'minecraft.jar' does not matche MD5 of any known minecraft version! [10:21:33] [sEVERE] Starting download of minecraft, with 2 trie(s) remaining [10:21:37] [sEVERE] Downloaded 'minecraft.jar' does not matche MD5 of any known minecraft version! [10:21:37] [sEVERE] Starting download of minecraft, with 1 trie(s) remaining [10:21:43] [sEVERE] Downloaded 'minecraft.jar' does not matche MD5 of any known minecraft version! [10:21:43] [sEVERE] java.io.IOException: Failed to download minecraft
  6. I disabled my AV so im pretty sure its not the AV is causing my issue, i believe its the validation on the minecraft.jar md5 check which is causing the issue.
  7. ive been having the same problem, i noticed this is the log files Downloaded 'minecraft.jar' does not matche MD5 of any known minecraft version! [15:55:57
