I'm going to lock this because you posted in the wrong section, but before I do:
Error seems pretty cut and dry to me, you can't download Minecraft for some reason. Try again later, maybe? Move where the Launcher stores its files?

I'll give it a shot, if it comes down to it I'll re-download 7-Zip and remove WinRar. I don't truly have a 100% need for it. Though, how do you use 7-Zip like WinRar? (offtopic, yes)
I've never used WinRAR, but from what I've seen you can do pretty much all the same basic functions it has with 7-Zip, although 7-Zip can only decompress RAR files, it can't create them.

Try this. I repackaged the ZIP using 7-Zip. WinRAR should've worked but it can be weird at times.

You're trying to use the way Forge is setup at the present for a 1.2.5 modpack. Coremods were not a thing until very recently. I can tell just looking at it that ModLoaderMP needs to go in the JAR, although IIRC the last versions of Forge for 1.2.5 eliminated the need for ModLoaderMP.

i finally fixed the downloading problem, but its still running vanilla, like lukeb28

Here's your problem:
Your ZIP has a folder in the root that stores the modpack stuff. Do not do this. The bin, coremods, mods, etc. folders need to be in the root of the ZIP.

I actually thought it was a great idea when I heard about it, until I thought how could this could be acceptable when modders can be so restrictive on pack rights.
So you're basically crusading for the misled ideas of a group of people who couldn't care less about you personally because reasons.

By request of the modder... like I said before. So it would assume you have permission, like Google assumes you want to be indexed.
Allow me to go a bit off-course here and ask: why are you so sour about other people making it easier for people to enjoy mods more and possibly give some mods a wider audience?

So the Platform should list every single mod ever made then and if you check off that your pack includes it then your modpack is not publically listed?

Maybe it has to do with the fact you have to ask for permission to use it in modpacks, and since none of the Technic team has asked he wants to make sure they don't? God forbid you safeguard your stuff until you reach an agreement.
Safeguard your stuff against users who want to install and play it on their own. Brilliant!

That's not the point he says if The Technic team asks him he will allow them to use it and it is an amazing mod and perfect for Tekkit.
Why should the guys who make a modpack have to ask for permission for their users to install a mod on their own?

For the record, I don't see anything in the log indicating that the modpack actually loaded so this will stay open.

Hey! Just a heads up: If you post a bug report in Technic Launcher Bugs, I look at that bug report, and I see [ForgeModLoader] ANYWHERE, you're getting banned on the same rules as above because YOU DIDN'T READ.
