I usually stay away from BuildCraft in favor of RedPower items. I've done enough with EE to know that I don't care for it too much, except for the alchemical chest and bags. The only part I haven't delved into very much is RailCraft. Kind of thing you are wanting to build: 1x1 dirt pillars to the build height, spaced evenly across several square kilometers of terrain... Wait no, a massive stronghold surrounded by slaves villagers who get beaten oversee my automated farming operations. Power flowers are lame, solar power is overused. I seek alternative energy. One of my goals is a reactor facility that can produce its own fuel, without input from EE. Why you want to join the server: I am looking for a server that won't limit my options, some thing that isn't' pay to win, and has a smaller active community. Time Zone: Eastern (-5 GMT) Daily amount of time you expect to spend on server: I work full-time and have adult responsibilities to take care of, but I expect to pop in close to daily. How long will you expect to play on the server (days,weeks,months?): Provided the planet doesn't suffer catastrophic existence failure I expect continue playing tekkit here for quite a while. I have seen servers with disabled items that didn't show up in NEI. It was only a couple servers and basically the EE things they had disabled. No big loss, and actually somewhat convenient because I could tell what I could and could not get to. Have you experienced the same problem on any other servers?

Ubuntu is free and will probably run on your mac though it would be a rather complex fix for something like this. Otherwise do any of your friends have a computer that could host instead of you doing it? I'm with theprolo, mining ores in the nether is where its at. You don't have to screw up the main world either with huge mining operations.
