isn't this why there are several different mod packs included with the technic launcher? if you get bored play a different mod pack.

I've put the furnace together 3 times now, and no matter which way I assemble it, it won't turn on. I've done it exactly how the book explained it, followed the picture example to a T and still no success. is there something crucial here I am missing? I noticed that you can craft a basin but the book does not mention where to place it on the furnace.

How much area do they protect? would like to know because my AOO is getting quite large. I'm going to start building underground though as to avoid extensive damage to my most precious buildings (i.e. smeltery)

well I did it, unfortunately it seems that the BDcraft website is down. So I'll be playing without the texture pack until its back up >.<

so how do I undo what MCpatcher has done? Unpatching changed nothing. Do I need to delete my technic launcher folder and redownload it?

I use Sphax 64x texture pack, and its great. no problems except that the wood planks I make from birch wood all have "Update TP" written on the sides (still have the normal texture on top and bottom) Now I have re-downloaded the texture pack from the website twice, I have run the MC patcher several times and have downloaded the mod support textures. What can I do to fix this?

This server isn't that great, explore too far and randomn parts of your house will just go missing. I had to restart twice on this game due to random blocks being deleted, and server rollbacks. griefing isn't too much of a problem, but the server lags a lot if there are more than 30 people online. I don't recommend playing on this server unless you are ok with losing half of your work randomly.

Well I copied this into the config.yml file but I have not seen any changes to gaining experience from mining or crafting. Perhaps it is because I didn't completely clear out the text file, i just copied and pasted the code into the appropriate place. I will continue to tinker!

So I'm tinkering around with a private server hosted on a local machine, just to learn how to operate and maintain my own server so that one day in the future I can host my own dedicated server that doesn't suck. So this is the first time I've tinkered with a configuration file, and the experience mod seemed to be easier to configure than permissions so I'm starting off here.
