1. Alpha works fine for me, since after getting some flint gear im heading for the swamp. Stop at the shrine for the blooms, and head out. Island to the east of swamp waypoint has a near surface zombie spawner... thats how i get my gold, by combining the armors to full health, smelt in the smelter...
2. I get my cooking station up, and head to iceberg to kill the necessary evil as soon as i can upgrade my sword to steel from smelting the chainmail... so at that point its all things smoothie, ice cream, potatos, porkchops.
3. Thaumic armor, until then... boots of the traveler and googles.
