The download in the post above got the launcher working, but now I'm getting an "update failed" error while downloading Tekkit. So this isn't quite resolved yet :/

EDIT: The post above mine resolved the problem. ^^^ This just started happening for me as well... No log file to post. Running Windows 7 with Java 7. Deleted the .techniclauncer folder and tried reinstalling, all it does is create the folder again, and only adds the technic-launcher.jar file. When I try to click on the file it says that it is invalid or corrupt.
