Linux was the only one that: A: worked and opened a launcher B: opened something other than a file or update box C: Let me access the tekkit launcher

I fixed mine! I have no idea what in the world I did, ill just name a few, I installed 64 bit java I got a batch file off the forums (I dont think this did anything, I didnt even place it anywhere) I Extracted the files once it FINALLY loaded 2 files (do not think this did much either) I used linux/JAR download button (I think this did the most) once i clicked on the download for linux, (Just letting you know I have a Windows operated ASUS laptop) it flashed the logo, then opened the launcher! I dont know if this helps any, but still!

This same thing just happened to me! I use the same operating system and the same version of java, but when I used the default installation it would get stuck! and when i tried to do it again, it would say that the files couldn't be accessed because they were in use (probably by whatever is running the logo) So i logged off and installed 64 bit java, and then ran the default one. it installed a file right away, but all it has is _MACOSX and Technic Launcher.app I dont know what the heck these do, so I used the windows one. this time it WORKED! BUT, it got stuck on the logo! in fact I am typing with the logo above my text box! if anyone can help us please leave a reply!
