only 2 gold ins cables? or two per crafting slot? + going to de charge them now

Hi, So I have been playing tekkit for the past 2 days since I've been ill. And I am really enjoying it, however, when I go to build a MFE it doesnt craft. :L I've tried: - Charging up the energy crystals. - Replacing insulated Gold cable for Copper cable, then uninsulated Copper cable. - Un-installing, then re-installing the tekkit launcher. ... and nothing so far has worked, I've probably made some sort of schoolboy error. But I would appreciate feedback. Thanks!
