And Personally, I like gregtech... I love the challenge, and it makes working with others far more profitable because you can pool resources. Just run a few quarries and turtle and RP2 quarries, with a sorting system and automatic smelting system, and the ore just piles in.

My new PC is nearly complete... The cables still need to ship, and I need to bury the cat5e cable to get internet to it. Until then I do not have access to skype. Sorry bout that.

Sorry it's been so long since I posted on here... Among other things, I got top admin on the FTB server I play on, My computer died, the new one i'm building still has a few cables missing, and I need to lay new cable... Plus the ultimant pack is STILL not out, although the Mindcrack pack is great anyway. Not sure if I can still help out. Anyone still interested?

I would love to get some input on what mods ya'll want in the server. -Glad to see some of the old mods still check up on this server! -Btw, I was admin'd on the last week of the server, if you don't remember me.

Here's an idea: Private pack. I'm working with a friend on one for personal use anyway, and I might just go ahead and make one for the server. It would have all the mods that we are used to, like IC2, RP2, BC, Thaum, TE, and all the rest, but with cool things like Logistic pipes and the ability to have custom config files for the server. Anyone have some input? Also, what mods do you want in/out of the pack. Personally, I HATE mods like Traincraft that are barely ready to be launched(Still in beta) to be in a server, you can't even build half the things in it, and other mods create instabilities. Probably going to go with ADV solars and not arrays. Gregtech? Probably on easy mode. It adds a lot of things to the server that make the game more interesting.

Did you try using the .jar launcher? It should work. To me win 8 seems to be a bit of a letdown, they had to compromise because they wanted it to work for tablets too, and so it feels to me like it doesn't have the full features of either a tablet or desktop OS... Just my 10 cents. I'll be sticking with 7 unless I see a better version soon. Anyone else notice that Win 98 was good, 2000 was crap, XP was good, vista was crap, 7 was good, and now 8 is crap? Seems like a pattern.

I assume you still mean to launch the server then? Good to hear. Ultimant is taking quite a while to come out, but I don't know if you want to use the Mindcrack pack now, and have to deal with switching over to Ultimant later. Might be annoying. A few things like Forge essentials, and ForgeBukkit are coming along, but still in alpha/beta and are HIGHLY buggy. Very promising though.

The ultimant pack will be FTB's flagship pack. It will be the most up-to-date and best running modpack with the least bugs, and the most balanced packs. Currently I am playing the Mindcrack FTB pack, and its great and all, but even it has bugs. When the Ultimant pack is released it should have the few of any of the packs, and should run the easiest. Besides, it shouldn't be too much longer.

No server yet... Still waiting on FTB Ultimant. As soon as it's out, I will be contacting Cmuff.

Alright guys, I'm currently waiting on the Ultimant Pack for FTB to come out, http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/ftb-ultimate-pack.5289/, its in its final bug testing stages i'm pretty sure, and only has a few things left to work out. When it finally comes out, I'll talk to Cmuff about the server! Everyone, get FTB and get ready!

Still deciding. Might wait until FTB has full Bukkit support for better control of the server.

Ok, I'm watchin' vids, scanning forums and etc, and it looks like there will be a 'standard' pack, which will be the most similar to the BETA_A pack, but with updated mods etc. So, I'm thinkin' to wait to launch a new server until that pack is out, as it will have much better compatibility, the ability to change how ORES SPAWN! So cool, change what levels they spawn on, how much etc, so it'll be easier for players to find ores, while allowing server owners to pick if they want ores to all spawn around a certain level, or make them spawn a bit more spread out, and many other game-changing updates. I'll keep 2 eye out looking for updates and new features. I'll also keep updating this page. Anyone who still looks here, don't lose hope! EDIT: My little Pony pack, anyone? EDIT: BUKKIT! WILL BE COMING IN THE FUTURE TO FTB

Morvelaira- No. There will never be an update to the beta a pack. There may be packs in the future that are similar, but since it has served its purpose there is no point to updating it. Well that clears that up... Now to decide which pack to follow!

I'm glad to hear that you have a similar opinion... Just wondering, what pack do you play on right now, and what server. I play FTB BETA_A on 8bit, p.8bit.ws I don't like it much though, the restarts are getting on my nerves. Hopefully the RP2 version will come out soon, and then I'll talk to Cmuff about it...

Also, DNS looks nice, but only has 1 pack to choose from and the fan base is far smaller. FTB is still very new, and will be FAR greater than it is currently in the future. I did, however, notice that technic is coming out with a Universal Electricity pack called Volts, which looks somewhat promising, but I'm burned out on Technic, and I believe in the survival of the fittest, which Technic no longer is.

Ok, I've been talking to Cmuff, the server WILL come back, but in FTB FLAVOR! I'm used to playing on the FTB BETA A pack, but the others might actually have much more potential. The server should have commands such as /lock, /sethome, /back and other such useful commands for players, and useful mod commands such as /setregion. If you don't know about FTB, feed-the-beast.com. I'll work on a banner for a FTB server... Comments anyone?

The server isn't up remember? And when it is, hopefully won't be Tekkit lol, and therefor, new map.
