If you want to combine the mods from the two packs together then no, for the reason explained above. If you want to convert your map from classic to lite you can try out the guide in this thread, I don't know how well it works and you'll lose at least all the EE stuff from your server assuming you had it enabled
-
Right clicking the download button and copying the link address usually works.
-
I made you a step by step guide to get to that step by step guide, then I realised you'd never find it without a step by step guide to lead you there, so I made you one and another step by step guide to find that. Unfortunately I lost it, so if someone could make me a step by step guide on how to find my step by step guide I would be forever in your debt.

Quite literally, the second thread down from yours is labelled Guide - Compiling a modpack, it's a great read. Spoiler alert: It contains a step by step guide to making a modpack

As useful as the links Munaus put are, they don't cover putting a custom pack in the NEW launcher which is what Crothen was asking. Since it's still in beta I assume doesn't have that function yet so I just use the old launcher, but if someone can prove me wrong that'd be the tits

Did you try Google, because I just did and found a video tutorial straight away, even with the handicap of spelling 'tutorial' wrong in my search. I would link it, but don't want to deny you the learning experience/feel good factor that doing it yourself might provide. Happy hunting

That's the tekkit classic mods folder which is for minecraft 1.2.5. Since voltz is minecraft version 1.4.7 try taking the buildcraft mods from tekkit lite, one of the new technic builds or downloading the lastest version from the buildcraft website

Can I Install Computercraft To the voltz pack?
Hampdog replied to joe123652's topic in Voltz Discussion
Maybe it's brake fade, or there's too much play in your steering linkage? What happens if you add computercraft with your vehicle stationary? In all seriousness you probably won't get much help unless you provide the error log. -
The Railcraft iron and steel plates need to be made in a rolling machine
-
Suggestion: Include Optifine in Voltz Modpack
Hampdog replied to Brinith's topic in Voltz Discussion
Did you put it in the modpack.jar? if not you should have. -
Here a fix to make it tekkit compatible, whether old Greg likes it or not. 1) Download the gregtech addon from here 2) Open the zip, go into the gregtechmod folder and replace the GT_Mod class file with this 3) Install it to your tekkitlite manually or using the customzip feature, resolve the block ID conflicts with mystcraft, tubestuff and transformers 4) Enjoy the lack of enjoyment that gregtech brings to the experience Congratulations you're now playing minecraft on your own terms

They have removed the no extra mods rule, well reworded it anyway. A section for servers using completely custom packs sounds like a good idea, but then those packs might be considered 'public' and the mod authors would cry themselves to sleep

I got it to work following the instructions in this thread here. So far no problems You will need to read step 3 as 'Open your Voltz folder and into the bin'. (Assuming you couldn't figure that out on your own)

Need help powering quarry with LV Solar Arrays
Hampdog replied to Kazlock's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
You need a wooden conductive pipe to get the power out of the energy link -
No its just how it works, any powered IC pump will appear to fill even if its nowhere near water (kinda like its priming itself) If putting cells in it yeilds nothing then there can't be any water/lava at the end of your miner. Dump a bucket of water under your pump and it'll instantly fill a cell and reset the GUI
-
That doesn't sound like you could get an accurate location, more of a line that it would likely lie upon. But I'm curious and bored so what are the co-ords of the portal you've found and I'll try some math.
-
Yes. Something along the lines of Reactor -> Energy link -> Power Teleport pipes -> Engine Generator Also avoid double/triple posting, they tend to take that sort of thing seriously here, use the edit button.
-
Well I can help with your reactor, the transformers are around the wrong way, the 3 dotted side is the input.
-
Double clicking the text box will turn it back to normal, so when you type any future search it won't darken your inventory

I think I know what you're trying to say, and here's your problem. 1 geo generator only outputs 20eu/t, the batbox outputs at a rate of 32eu/t and a quarry will use 22.5eu/t to run at full speed. The reason the batbox won't charge is simply because the power is being use faster than you can generate it so upgrading to an MFE or MFSU won't fix the problem, you just need a second generator. Also the little battery in the generator is the internal energy storage it will fill up when its not outputting power.
