It says end of stream on the client and in the console it says connection reset. I wait about 1-5 minutes and then everything is working again. Is this a bug or a maintenance? I know how it works and that's what it does. It works correctly if I keep it in my hotbar turned off and move it to my alchemical bag as needed.

It is eating it, not transmuting it. It does the same thing in the hotbar. If I occasionally move it to the bag it does what it is supposed to. Other wise it just eats it without transmuting anything and steals energy from my klein.

You are quite definitely wrong. It took me going through 3 versions of java 7 until I got to Java 6. It seems that There may be trouble between the combination of the OS, Java, and the latest launcher. Everybody that seems to be having the Java 7 problem is possibly running a higher end version of Windows than Home. But this is purely speculation. Take it as you will.

Guys, I just know this fix worked for me and many other people. I am sorry that it is not always this way, but it seems that maybe it is a rare problem. I could link you some forums if you wish to see the truth in my words, but yes, I did have this problem, and yes, the fix I stated worked. I got it from another guy who it also worked for. I don't know why it did not work on java 7, and nobody else did either until I was told by multiple people to downgrade to java 6 and IT WORKED. The facts state though that it would NOT run on java 7 for reasons unknown. Many of my friends had the java 7 problem also. I had completely uninstalled all my antivirus and disabled the antivirus built into windows. Theoretically it should have worked. The only plausible solution was that it was the downgrade to java 6 that made it work. If you are so shortsighted not to believe me, then I am sorry for wasting your time. There was another fix that involved reinstalling your entire operating system. These both seem to be valid, but I suggest just trying mine Jag. Hey, the mods don't want people to know this and refuse to put it on the common problems, but technic doesn't work with java 7. You have to use java 6 buddy. It took me weeks to find this out. Glad I could help

Nevermind. If anybody has had this problem, downgrade your java to java 6. I highly recommend the ops and whatnot put this on the common problems and fixes.

Windows 8 is NOT in dev. version. It's currently RTM and to be released to the public soon. I am running Windows 8 Enterprise currently with no antivirus and the same exact problem. Help would be appreciated but I have found a lack of it.
