i just started a tekkit classic server, im looking everywhere and i cant find any info on how to figure out what my IP is Nor what the command is to set the IP, i cannot find any server.properties file, and the help command isnt helping. please help. i saved the server and found the properties file, what do i set as the IP, for i do not know what to set it as, i might accidentally make a server that has the same IP as another server. ok i set the server as MY ip address, but, the server port says its already used, how do i fix this ,what do i set it to? no matter what i set the port to, it says that port is being used or its out of range.... ive looked through pages of threads, and Faqs and even the questions section, i cannot find an answer. i keep getting the JVM_Bind error... I am trying to set up the server on my laptop, wirelessly. someone please help!

i did this when I uninstalled AVG the first time... eh ill just give up for now till they release this real fix that is said in the common solutions thread. thanks though.

I did get the correct version. x86 denotes 32bit. also I created the report before I even posted here.

I got it to work my changing the extension of the .Zip file of the linux version to .Jar... but it ran with little memory and crashed on me. Ill try to download the launcher from another computer. and run it on this one. I downloaded it using my phone and transfered it to the computer. still didnt work

I just looked. there is no thread for problems with the forum.

.... i know enough about computers to know that doing that would solve nothing at all... nothing in the launcher coding would change depending on what firewall or antivirus i have....

yeah I tried it, and it didnt work, hell I even uninstalled AVG and it did NOTHING... hell there was no JAR file to open with JAVA. none of us said we opened it in winrar.... nor did we try to...
