  1. See if this helps: http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/could-not-initialize-class-error.79352/ 640MB should at least let you get a couple of friends on the server. I'm seeing about 1.2GB in use with 20 people playing. More than 2GB is probably overkill, I've never seen it use that much even with a bunch of Bukkit plugins loaded. Tekkit really needs a decent CPU speed, if you're going to upgrade just grab the fastest dual core you can find. Skip the 4+ core CPUs as you won't see a benefit from the slower core speed, higher core count processors and they may actually make things worse.
  2. There's a hostile tone towards people who don't read (and follow) rules, spend 5 minutes browsing or searching to see if their question was already answered, lack basic writing skills, or otherwise waste peoples' time. If you don't have issues with the above everyone here is friendly enough.
  3. Try the previous version: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/worldguard/files/3-world-guard-5-5/
  4. Are you using the alternate texture pack? Try switching back to the default Minecraft textures, that fixed it for me.
  5. http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/worldguard/ does what you want but you'll need to go back to a version compatible with the Bukkit build included with Tekkit.
  6. The server's map was reset and I can log in again, so it was something in that chunk causing problems. Is there a list of current versions of mods included in the Tekkit client somewhere? I want to rebuild the client without OptiFine in case I run in to the problem again.
  7. Launcher/pack Version: 2.1.0 Operating System: Win7 / 64b Version of Java: 1.7.0_03-b05 / 64b Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 5900 series Driver version: tried versions 2/2012, 1/2012, 12/2011 Description of Problem: - Deleted %appdata%\Roaming\.techniclauncer - Ran TechnicLauncer-0.2.exe - Connected to server I've previously played on before errors started - Textures begin to load, chat window loads with server messages and occasionally 1-2 lines of chat - Macerator sound begins to loop * Minecraft window turns white * Video card driver "crashes" Error Messages: none visible other than Windows' video card driver recovered from crash message Link to pastebin of log: http://pastebin.com/8YLC8tNU I was able to connect to this server until I started playing around with IC2 advanced machines in my factory area. I previously saw similar behavior by a public ore processing plant that used IC2 advanced machines but was able to log back in and run away before I crashed. Now I'm stuck crashing every time I log in. Once the crashes started I updated java from 6->7, tried 2 previous graphics card drivers, started to rebuild minecraft.jar to get rid of OptiFine but gave up once I realized I have no idea what version of Forge is being used. I can still connect to other Tekkit servers, I'm going to try to place machines on mine to see if I can isolate it to IC2 advanced machines. e: had to end java process from Task Mangler, so I'm not sure if that java error occurred before I killed it e2: can't reproduce with 2 banks of active advanced machines on my server, I'll try to replicate my setup from the other server and see what happens...
