Iron ingots and redstone work as well, and they repair more than dirt.

Have you tried using the client's recommended build?
-
Maybe you need to configure the firewall/antivirus to accept incoming connections?

I think you can make something that flies using Redpower's frames and frame motors, check "redpower inchworm drives" on youtube.

Problems with starting Tekkit under Suse

I think nano can save a file with CRLF endings (MSDOS mode) if I'm not mistaken. -
Long story short, the mod's author got pissed with Technic and it was removed so he could stop whining.

Are there any "real" hardcore pvp servers.

Not to mention all the destruction usually ends up in map resets, which means losing everything at least once a week. -
I get that too. When you get through portals you get a chance for the blocks to duplicate in the nether. It happens with most vanilla blocks, and EE collectors as far as I know.

It should be "-jar <the jar file> nogui" As for the launcher, make sure you have the latest version.

Is it possible to bring back the option to use the latest LWJGL binaries? I get a white screen with the version the launcher downloads, and I have to replace LWJGL every time there's an update or when I choose another version. For your information, I am using Arch Linux x64, with java version 1.7.0_03-icedtea.

Not sure about redstone transmitters, but enderchests with identical color codes will be connected no matter who placed them. -
Mobs Dealing 3x Normal Damage on Tekkit 2.0 Server
ppingos replied to Gusmanak's question in Tekkit Classic
Nope, I still get this error on 2.1.1 with full Red Matter armor. -
I've had a 1.2.0 Tekkit server running fine, until I decided to upgrade to Tekkit 2. I used Minecraft Map Converter, and flipped the values in Mapping.txt to downgrade to 1.1.4, then used WorldUpdater1.1 to convert it to Tekkit 2. However, a certain chunk with buildcraft pipes, engines, etc, as well as a Computercraft computer and disk drive, cause the client to show a grey screen, then a white one, at which point it freezes. The server console only logs an "end of stream" error. Did I do something wrong? Please help me! Thanks in advance. EDIT: This is the log file: http://pastebin.com/QrFAZ3t4 SOLVED: Turns out there were tanks with milk in the map, which is not supported in 2.0
