Seeing as you posted in the "General Tekkit SMP" forum, and are asking about Technic SSP... Yeah, I'd say you're in the wrong place.

At the moment: A Valley Without Wind Just released, but I've been playing it from early beta. A metroidvania-ish indie game from the same people as AI War, but with far more to it than that. Great fun and has plenty of wear in it. Supreme Commander 2 RTS that some don't like because it's not quite as serious as its prequel. With the DLC it's great, and it boasts probably the best RTS AI ever - if the player can use a tactic, so can the AI. Also, any game that has GIANT BRAINS WITH LASERS and battleships that can grow legs, walk on land, and then jumpjet into your base has to be worth a try. Bulletstorm FPS that some criticise because the main character isn't a do-gooder with a halo so big you can see it from space. Me? I say that's the whole damn point. Also has some exceptionally inventive cursing and one of the best and most consistent stories in any FPS.

It's not just IDs. The mods also can't change the same bits of MC's base code.

I hadn't heard about that. Might be worth a look!

"I'm a ungrateful moron, please ban me". At least I think that's what it says. It's hard to tell. It doesn't resemble English particularly closely.

Microsoft Security Essentials is also surprisingly decent, and very unobtrusive.

I own most of these, and enjoyed them. Their target audience is more late teens, I'd say, and most of them are relatively short - but I still enjoy reading them every now and then. There are continuity issues between some of the earliest books and the later ones - but then that's not exactly uncommon with series written over the course of many years.
