its ok i fixed it all you need to do is not extract the file you just re-named minecraft_1.2.5 you copy iy into the cache folder in .techniclauncher and you paste it in there, if you don't have that folder from clearing your cache (you have to do that before you put it in cache folder) then just click log in and wait for it to say "update failed" then there will be an empty cache folder, you copy the renamed file into the folder hope it helped

i am pretty sure its minecraft_1.2.5 that you have to re-name it to i am not sure but thats what it says in the post

Don't worry i may have fixed my problem if it did i will post the fix that works i you keep getting the message sorry i just updated my Java and it still seems to not work

hello, can someone please help me i am on Windows XP and i have downloaded it using Mozilla Firefox and i renamed it to minecraft_1.2.5 and it didn't work so then i tried minecraft_1.2.5.jar still didn't work, the thing that makes me go WTF why isn't it working is that last night it was working just fine and then it said update failed i then followed the steps and it worked this time i did everything the same way and it didn't work someone plz help me kind regards, Honeydew
