I'm pretty sure it's Kaspersky because I have it as well and I disabled my firewall and it still wouldn't let me connect.

Yeah I think it is :/ I did find a fix but its annoying. If you exit of Kaspersky as a whole then go onto a server then put it back on you can connect. Its kind of a neuissence but it works

Description of Problem:

When I try to connect to the internet it won't let me. When I disable my anti virus it will let me connect. When I go into settings to see if it is trusted they are all trusted regarding tekkit and its addons. So I dono what to do.

Description of Problem:

I open up the tekkit launcher and get "Could not connect to minecraft.net" and also it won't let me connect to my tekkit server. If I select work offline I can play single player fine, but I try to use my server which worked fine in Windows 7 I get "Communication Error". I host the server on this PC so I've tried it with my 192 IP addr and also with the IP of the server.

I've turned off Windows FIrewall, turned of Kaspersky completely, and I've done a reboot. Still not working. Any help would be appreciated.

make sure you have the latest version of the launcher. you may have to redownload it. it has been updated very recently. if that does not work, try the .jar instead of the .exe.

I even just redownloaded it. It still does the problem. Like it will say checking for newest version or something like that then it says Technic Launcher and won't load past that. Btw, what do you mean by the JAR. I have like no files in the .tekkit launcher file even.

When I start Tekkit like double click it basically says Checking for latest version and loads for like 5 seconds then it says TEKKIT nad the logo as if it were to start up but thats when it stops. It dosnt do anything. The longest i have given it was like 30 minutes to load but I figured meh after that. Please help me with why it wont do anything past the TEKKIT logo.
