[3.0.3/3.0.4] Tekkit Server wont start correctly

Title: Tekkit Server wont start correctly

Version: 3.0.3/3.0.4

OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

Java Version: 7 64-bit

Description of Problem:

I'm trying to set up a tekkit server for the first time and when I launch it I get a bunch if [sEVERE] messages and then it just stops. Not like freezing or stopping the server, it just stops doing anything without finishing.

Related question: Are you certain the server is using Java 7?

Thank you, it was a mix of that I had Java 6 and some conflict from my other server. Although I still dont understand why the java version would cause a problem, I was up untill now I was running a bukkit server no problems.

When Java executes shit, it does a quick sanity check by comparing the JDK version the .CLASS files being executed were compiled under to the JRE that is executing the .CLASS files. If the JRE version is lower than the JDK version, Java will shut the execution down due to the fact that certain base Java libraries can differ from version to version, which can lead to bizarre shit.

when i try to get into the launch after ive got all of the items into a folder it says "java is not recognized as an internal or external command" and when i try to start it it crashes

This means you need to add Java to your system path.
