tiny66677 Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 I have a modpack that runs fine until i install NEI the launcher just closes and then reopens. If NEI is not installed it runs perfectly fine. The mod pack i uploaded is not up to date like the mod pack im testing i realized it would be faster to test the conflicts by manually putting the mods in and running the pack right after but i cant seem to see whats causing the problem with NEI. Crash Report: http://pastebin.com/6SpLhCx8 If the full crash report is needed let me know or if any further information is needed let me know
EvilOwl Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 1. Post the modpack platform link. 2. Don't ever crop/cut crash logs/fml logs/launcher logs, they are useless. If they don't fit to pastebin, upload to http://paste.ubuntu.com 3. Be sure that you added CodeChickenCore (NEI dependency)
tiny66677 Posted November 23, 2014 Author Posted November 23, 2014 Okay so uploading it made it crash/not work it opens as just a regular vanilla game so i must be doing something wrong from the beginning Platform Link: http://www.technicpack.net/api/modpack/this-is-a-quickiee I think before i fix the NEI i need to fix the whole pack
EvilOwl Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 (edited) 1. Your modpack is in a subfolder called 'Modpack'.. not good, it should be in the root folder of the zip archive. 2. There are no coremods in 1.6.4, CodeChickenCore goes to mods. Your MacOS added some not necessary files to the zip archive (__MACOSX directory, .DS_Store files everywhere). This makes your pack double the size it really is. This needs to be avoided. Your zipped modpack needs to have three directories: bin, mods and config. That's it. Edit: With the changes above the pack loaded fine in MultiMC. Edited November 23, 2014 by bochen415
tiny66677 Posted November 23, 2014 Author Posted November 23, 2014 Thank you for the help i did everything you told me and the pack is now working. If a mod needs a coremod i just put it in mods instead?
EvilOwl Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Yes. FML will autocheck for coremods and load with the needed procedures. Quote from your pack's log: [FINE] [ForgeModLoader] Discovering coremods
