Hi guys

 

Recently I reinstalled the OS on my server to CentOS 6.6 With the distrobution kernel instead of the OVH kernel

 

I know OVH throttle's there servers' processors through the kernel. But bloody hell! You have no idea how much

of a difference this made.

My servers lag, went down by 40%. I'm not even kidding.

 

Just by installing the distrobution CentOS instead of the OVH CentOS, My servers MS went from 350(average, servers in canada im in the UK) down to 250, and the server is much more tolerant to worldedit etc. I'd say, as a tip to anyone whos using OVH install the distro kernel and NOT the ovh kernel
