Infamous Launcher Issue

Launcher/pack Version: Recent as of today - 1.0.1.0

Operating System: Windows 7

Version of Java: JRE 1.7u4

Description of Problem: Issue in a nutshell: Download - Run - "Checking launcher Version" - Vanish

Antivirus program: MSE

Additional Info/life story: Finally decided to download Awesome technic after seeing how easy it can be done. (As little as 5 mins to get set up WOW!) Had the problem with immediate vanishing act. appx. 3 hours of work: . Read stickies like 10 times( and followed through) Updated Java. Updated my AV. restarted computer a few times. Read the forum threads up to around page 40 (Twice, once using advanced search) Followed through on most of those soloutions. .Jar Soloution seemed promising but was a bust.

Also my computer know-how is extremely ....pathetic. Please work with me, I promise to give little to no resistence in your efforts to shut me up.

That version number is wrong... You you should have 1.0.1.3

What browser are you using, and what page are you downloading it from?

Im using Internet Explorer and Im downloading from http://www.technicpack.net/launcher/

Try it with Firefox or chrome. Firefox doesn't give me 1.0.1.0

Tried with Chrome and got the same version. Very Curious.
