Server not running due to java

I updated Java to 1.8 and then downgraded to fix the current issues, however, when I try to run my server, it doesn't work because it says 1.8 is required. Any known fixes?

Try removing all your Javas. See https://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp?detect=jre&try=1 to detect your java.
