Putting items into the target slot of an Energy Condenser?

How can I put an item into the target slot of an energy condenser?

Pickup any item that has an EMC value.

Drag it to the topmost slot of an energy condenser, not the huge inventory itself.

Put other stuff with an EMC value that you want to burn up into the huge inventory, or place an energy collector or an antimatter relay with EMC in it next to it.

Woop, I'm an idiot. I meant with Redpower or Buildcraft.

I don't think if there is an input side to put items into it through pipes, tubes or anything.
