Help needed :)

Hey guys i just downloaded the latest version of the launcher after deleting all my old minecraft data (the .app, .minecraft folder and anything else). After selecting the Technic mod pack i launched a single player game to find that NEI has 50 pages not 26 like i saw in the latest yogcast video on youtube.

This is my first time using the mod pack you guys offer. Also, i am on a MAC

You're using Technic SSP, which has more mods than what the Yogscast are using (Tekkit, the multiplayer version).

I thought Technic was multiplayer, whoops! Looks like i need to find out how to have a multiplayer server with Technic pack.

I'm also in need of help, when I open the launcher it just says "Checking launcher version" and then the window dissappears and nothing comes up after that! Anyone know what to do?
