CheezyGoodness12 Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 (edited) So me and a friend want to make a mod pack to use possibly for YouTube, but when we try to download it from the launcher it gives an error: failed to download modpack... Obviously we cant contact the author for help because its us, and we cant find any mods that don't work together. Is it possibly missing a core mod? The_Doctors_Life Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 (edited) First of, your modpack is in the .rar format, the technic launcher can only unzip .zip files. Secondly that's an invalid API link, please provide a correct one. EDIT: you also have servarl "mod installers" meaning you didn't download the mods from the authors making it so people can be having viruses on thier pc, please remove those and get them from places like minecraftforum and curse. You haven't included a config folder, even on 1.7.10 packs you still need to include them whether you make changes or not. Edited January 27, 2015 by The_Doctors_Life

If so, should i put anything in it or just leave it blank?
Torezu Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Config files are very small and extremely useful to synchronize clients with the server. Always include the entire set of config files in the pack, with the exception of client-side-only mods configs such as maps, graphical mods, etc.

But when we start the game, after it reaches the mojang screen it crashes. When I look throught the logs it says that thermal expansion and AdvGen are causing problems, but neither of them caused problems when it first downloaded.
