I want the nether ores mod, i don't want to delete it.
sincerecorn Posted June 27, 2012 Author Posted June 27, 2012 i am running java 7 i also have java 6 installed too. Is that a problem?
Jay? Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Yes. It's likely that your installation is trying to use Java 6, despite Java 7 being available to it.
sincerecorn Posted June 27, 2012 Author Posted June 27, 2012 yup, that was the problem. Don't get me wrong, I code java sometimes. I knew what the major minor version thing was. But I didn't know sometimes things don't use the latest java, even when installed.
Jay? Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Yeah, it has to do with how java changes between major versions. It actually makes a new path in the java folder, which can trick a lot of programs into not updating the path, since there's nothing wrong with the old path.
