memory keeps running out

Antivirus Program: i played fine for a while but now it keeps lagging and running out of memory i cant even get into the world now

Description of Problem:

i played fine for a while in tekkit single player but now it keeps lagging and running out of memory i cant even get into the world now sometimes

Error Messages:

none other than the minecraft has run out of memory

This...all depends on what you're running, and how much memory you've given the launcher to run with. I'd start by upgrading to Java 7.
