same mith me i open the technic launcher and it says im offline and when i do it on minecraft it works so there is probably something blocking us connecting to the servers

I would also like to see a solution to this problem. [EDIT: for ME] neither tekkit launcher or the regular minecfaft launcher (or magic launcher) is able to connect.

I have the same issue, I have no idea what to do, this post needs to get some attention to someone that has a real idea of what is actually happening. Is is regional? we need to find commonalities.

Same here, same issue. Something different though is that it occurs for me like this:

I logged onto my tekkit server, which I am normally able to use fine. My friend also uses the server, but does not experience the problem I am about to describe. Then, after playing a bit, tekkit randomly freezes and crashes. (Looking through the server log I found it was an end of stream, for I got no error message when it crashed). I load up the technic launcher again and it says "cannot connect to minecraft.net", though regular minecraft works fine. I did find a way to work around this a little though: I cleared the cache completely and it was able to connect, until I crashed again.

EDIT: Never mind on the clear cache thing, just tried it again and it didn't work. Not even totally re installing tekkit. Also had an idea: this only happened to me after tekkit upgraded to 3.03 and the server tekkit upgraded to 3.04. Connection?

I can't even log into it at all, I had moved the .techniclauncher and tried to redownload Via the launcher, it brings up the "Checking for updates window" then proceeds to the Technic Launcher splash icon that stands above all tabs, and never goes away, and never brings up the true launcher, now putting the original data back, it still cannot connect to minecraft.net . Chances are this thread won't catch any attention by anyone important, so it's kind of futile, but might as well try to figure it out.

Yeah, that is what happens to me too sometimes. I still think it might have something to do with the 3.03 update. Even if we can't figure this out, if it stays near the top of the bug list it will catch someone's attention.

Well it was working fine after that update for me, until this morning. I think it may be regional, I'll manually ping the MC servers one by one and see if all account services are running. Also, true, but we have to keep the chat running constantly, which I'm prepared to do, considering I play on a dedicated tekkit server, which is factions, which I am the leader of, and no one knows I'm gone. Have a solid base, but without a leader, my friends crumble easily XD.

It's not going to happen, odds are no one else cares anyway so doesn't matter too much. Time to ragequit and possibly remake this post, but in my own, maybe make a video, and hopefully someone will eventually catch this.

It isn't an issue with the modpack. Minecraft.net can be up and running and have a nice clear route for traffic to reach where the player is, but if there isn't a clear route between the server or the launcher and minecraft.net, all you can do is keep resetting until it finally connects.

Ahh... but I have for a fact that is the launcher. Because when I try to connect with my brother's laptop, it's fine. But when I use this, it doesn't even open the launcher half the time. Oh and It has to do with the cache, since if you redownload just that, it works for one session, then the next time you get on it fails again. I have downloaded tekkit 36 times today. I refuse to close it now. This is a monotonous bug, that's impossible to reproduce any other way. Thought it was my Java, uninstalled, reinstalled, then tried again, not a thing. I just hope it will be fixed by the next update.

Yea, it is just the launcher. If you connect to Minecraft.net through the vinalla (original) launcher then it is a problem with your Technic Launcher.
