tekkit not working

Launcher Version: Launcher EXE (1.0.1.3)

Operating System: windows 64 bit

Java Version: 32 and 64 bit java. should auto to 64

Antivirus Program: i open the technic launcher and it takes forever to load the mod select and sing in page bu when it finally does the mod selection dropbox is blank and when i open it to select a mod all i see is a blank drop box where i can highlight the mod that the cursor is over but it just turns that space blue istead of showing me the mod. i find where tekkit is and load that. i set the options to latest build and 2G of memory and sign in. i try to join a server and it says that i dont have minecraft forge installed.
