Description of Problem:

A friend of mine just got Tekkit today and when she connects to my server she can't see anything but the sky, chat, and her own character. The blocks and entities do not load. We have tried getting rid of it and reinstalling. Her java was just updated before installing Tekkit. Everything else on her system is up to date and she can run normal minecraft just fine. No one else is having this issue on my server. Can anyone tell me what might be the problem and how to fix it aside from what we've already tried? I should also mention that it won't even let me clear the cache.

It might be optifine. Try getting that out of the .jar file.

Got the same problem: Just delete the metainf and it should work.

When she logs on, teleport to here and see if you get the same issue. If so, its arealocated and a clientlog needs to be provided. Tempfix if thats the case, teleport here to you (or make her do /spawn or similar) right upon login. If that dont sort it, try and delete the playerfile (Assuming the game works in SSP)

Go to options and adjust fog setting to 0 from -64

I had the same problem. Where do you find the "metainf" and did that work?

I just reloaded the world and it worked fine then
