Will not connect to minecraft.net

Title: Will not connect to minecraft.net

Version: 3.0.3/3.0.4

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

Java Version: Java Version 1.7.0_05 from Oracle Corporation

Description of Problem:

I have downloaded the Technic Launcher- no problem

I have launched the Technic Launcher- no problem

When it appears, on the right it says " oh noes, our tumblr feed is down"

On the drop down box up the top left, it appears blank, when i drop the box down, it still appears blank.

When i select a blank box up the top in the title bar it says tekkit, vanilla etc.

The Banners do not show

When i log in, it says " update failed"

It wont connect to minecraft.net.

I have:

- re-installed the launcher

- Run it with admin

- removed AVG and replaced it with ESET nod 32 5

- Updated java

- changed the location of the launcher

- deleted .techniclauncher and .minecraft and re-installed them

- Looked for other related threads with a fix (no help)

If someone could reply it would be much appreciated

It's most likely just a problem with minecraft.net itself. Hopefully it'll work itself out; try again later and see if it works. It's working for me at the moment though, so if you can't get on right this moment like I just did then it's obviously not minecraft.net itself.
